Your challenge

As a Lead (AI) Engineer, you are responsible for the efficient execution and qualitative delivery of projects for both innovative tech start-ups & scale-ups and larger organizations.

Through the diverse projects for various customers, you come into contact with different technologies and frameworks. In these projects, you will be able to make maximum use of all your knowledge and experience and will also be able to further develop yourself.

Some of your responsibilities:

• Design, develop and deploy robust mobile and web applications using our core tech stack: NodeJS, Python, React, and the AWS serverless stack.
• Collaborate to define and optimize technical architectures that ensure scalability, safety, and reliability across the entire application stack. In doing so, you focus on principles such as event-driven design, API-first development, microservices architecture and serverless infrastructure, tailored to the needs of the customer and the chosen tech stack.
• Taking the lead in the design and implementation of AI solutions (Agent architectures based on LangGraph and LangChain) tailored to the customer
• Timely delivery of high-quality applications with a focus on safety, performance and reliability.
• Advise customers on technology choices and help identify the best solutions for their specific needs.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
• Coaching and monitoring colleagues, both within Unikoo and with the customer.
• Contribute to team growth by actively participating in team building and knowledge sharing initiatives.

Convinced that you can fill this role perfectly? Our ideal Lead (AI) Engineer has the following skills and expertise:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a proven track record and strong expertise in key technologies such as Node.js and Python, React, and experience with CI/CD processes (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Predictive and Generative AI, data engineering and machine learning is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
• A positive, constructive attitude with a natural ability to guide others while being open to different perspectives.
• Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge, enabling you to build high-quality, scalable products.
• Passion, drive and the mindset to continuously learn and innovate within a dedicated team.
